About the Role

As a Java Developer at AdaptNXT, you'll work on the server-side logic of enterprise applications — building REST APIs, integrating services, and writing efficient backend systems. You'll collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver production-grade software for real clients.

This role is designed for fresh graduates or junior developers who have a solid grasp of Java fundamentals and are eager to grow into backend engineering under structured mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend services and microservices
Design and implement RESTful APIs consumed by web and mobile frontends
Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews
Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure code quality standards
Debug production issues and implement timely fixes
Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Review and contribute to internal documentation and technical specifications

Requirements

0–1 year of experience with Java (academic projects, internships, or personal development count)
Strong understanding of Core Java: OOP, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading
Basic knowledge of Spring Framework or Spring Boot (key advantage)
Understanding of RESTful API design principles
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
Working knowledge of Git and version control
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and communicate technical concepts clearly

Bonus Points

Experience with microservices architecture or Docker containers
Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
Contributions to open-source Java projects
